leg | ectopic, with Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1
Expression of sdΔ200.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 results in a protruding eye phenotype. Eye bristles are duplicated or missing and can have altered morphology, and ommatidia may have bristles at four of their vertices. Fusion of ommatidia is also seen and an ectopic cluster of cells is seen between the lamina and ommatidia that coincides with the eye protrusion.
Expression of sdΔ200.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 occasionally results in leg duplications. Loss of wing tissue and wing bristles is also seen in these flies.
Expression of sdΔ200.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 results in an increase in cell death only along the anterior/posterior boundary of the wing pouch. There is also increased cell death in the leg imaginal disc, and the leg disc may be duplicated.
Expression of sdΔ200.Scer\UAS, driven by Scer\GAL4vg.boundary, leads to an enhancement of the wing phenotypes seen in sdETX4 and sd58d mutants. Overexpression of sdΔ200.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4vg.boundary leads to a defective wing phenotype in wild-type flies.
Scer\GAL4vg.boundary, sdΔ200.UAS, sd58d has wing phenotype, suppressible by vgUAS.cKa/Scer\GAL4vg.boundary
Scer\GAL4vg.boundary, sdΔ200.UAS, sdETX4 has wing phenotype, suppressible by vgUAS.cKa/Scer\GAL4vg.boundary
The defective wing phenotype seen when sdΔ200.Scer\UAS is expressed under control of Scer\GAL4vg.boundary in sdETX4 and sd58d mutants is alleviated when vgScer\UAS.cKa is overexpressed.
