tsrN121 mutant cells display small cystic dilations along their seamless tracheal tubes.

When homozygous clones are induced from 4-5 days after egg laying, small clones that display a strong flr-like hair phenotype are seen in the adult wing. These clones are rarely larger than 8 cells. Few mutant clones are recovered in the adult wing if they are induced 3-4 days AEL.

Homozygous clones in the pupal wing show a dramatic increase in the level of F-actin compared to wild type, and this increase is seen both prior to and during wing hair morphogenesis.

Homozygous mushroom body neuroblast clones that are generated in newly hatched larvae contain only 15-30 neurons in the adult, in contrast to wild-type control clones, which contain approximately 400 neurons. Single cell homozygous clones of γ neurons in the mushroom body show axon growth defects in the adult; 30-40% of axons do not enter the medial lobe, stopping before the α/β branch point, 35-40% fail to extend beyond the midpoint of the γ lobe and 15-20% fail to reach the end of the γ lobe. Homozygous neuroblast clones that contain only α/β neurons fail to extend fully to the midline or to the dorsal cortex.

The increased resistance to ethanol-induced sedation observed in RhoGAP18B1/RhoGAP18B1 adults cannot be suppressed by combination with tsrN121 in heterozygous state but RhoGAP18B1/+;tsrN121/+ double heterozygotes display significantly higher resistance than RhoGAP18B1/+ single heterozygotes.

A tsrN121 heterozygous background enhances the patterning defects found in Scer\GAL4GMR.PF>cindrdsRNA.PC.PD.Scer\UAS mutants. The mean interommatidial precursor cell number and the number of cone and/or 1[o] cell errors is increased in these double mutants.
