SCARΔ37/+;trio123.4/+ double heterozygous embryos show stalling of the ISNb motor nerve at the junction of muscles 6 and 13 with failure to innervate muscle 12 in 51% of examined hemisegments - a strongly increased penetrance compared to either of the single heterozygotes.
The stalling of the ISNb motor nerve at the junction of muscles 6 and 13 with failure to innervate muscle 12 characteristic for trio8/trio123.4 mutant embryos is not suppressed by Scer\GAL4elav.PU-driven expression of AblScer\UAS.cFa in the mutant background.
A trio123.4 heterozygous background significantly restores the ability of ISNb axons to enter the ventrolateral muscle field in Nl1N-ts1 mutants. This suppression is reverted upon pan-neural expression of trioScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155.
Pan-neuronal expression of trioGEF1mu.Scer\UAS in a Nl1N-ts1; trio123.4/+ background (under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155) does not restore the ability of ISNb axons to enter the ventrolateral muscle field.
