E(z)731/+ testes do not show a germline stem cell-like tumor phenotype.

E(z)731 mutant clones show homeotic transformation into more posterior body segments; the mutant sensory bristles are finer and more tapered than the neighbouring wild type bristles in A2 and resemble bristles characteristic of abdominal segment A10 in wild type animals.

Homozygous neuroblast clones in the third larval instar central brain and ventral ganglion are dramatically reduced in size compared to control clones and show a dramatic reduction in mitotic activity.

Homozygous clones in the wing result in an overall reduction in wing size, indicating partial transformation to haltere, and blisters and necrotic tissue are seen in the wing blade.

E(z)731 mosaic brains show misguided axons and ectopic gila-like cells.

Homozygous clones in the imaginal disc have no obvious proliferation defects.
