Expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa in the projection neurons, under the control of Scer\GAL4GH146 or Scer\GAL4exba-krasavietz, does not affect central or cross adaptation to EB or IAA odours.

Expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa in both the eLNs and iLNs, under the control of both Scer\GAL4GH298 and Scer\GAL4exba-krasavietz results in normal adaption to EB or IAA, indicating that olfactory central adaption depends on the eLN/iLN activity ratio.

Larval expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4D42 induced a two-fold increase in synapse number compared to wild-type.

Expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4796 increases the synaptic domain, with no significant change in cell number.

Expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 has no effect on the wing. Animals expressing Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF have a slightly larger eye than normal.

Expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF has little effect on the size or structure of the eye. Expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PB in clones of cells in the eye does not increase cell size.

Animals expressing both Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CEP837 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF have a large-eye phenotype. Expression of Lk6EP30.18 in this background strongly suppresses this phenotype.

Flies co-expressing Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CEP837 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF have a large eye phenotype. Flies co-expressing Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF have a large eye phenotype. The large eye phenotype caused by co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CEP837 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is suppressed by co-expression of scylEP22.1. The large eye phenotype caused by co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CEP837 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is suppressed by co-expression of chrbEP1035. The large eye phenotype caused by co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CEP837 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is suppressed nearly to wild type by simultaneous co-expression of both scylEP22.1 and chrbEP1035. The large eye phenotype caused by co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is enhanced if the flies also carry scyl31/scyl113.

Co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa slightly suppresses the bent wing phenotype caused by expression of S6kScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544. Co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa results in a clear increase the size of the eye and individual ommatidia in animals expressing Pi3K92EScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF. Co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa in animals expressing Pi3K92EScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 causes the wing to bend strongly downwards.

Coexpression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CEP837 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF causes a substantial increase in eye size. Coexpression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CEP837 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PB in clones of cells in the eye results in a cell autonomous increase in cell size.
