Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Approximately 15.6% of homozygous females survive to adulthood. These adults have distorted wings and legs (19% of cases), ectopic bristle formation on the scutellum (92% of cases) and reduced fecundity.

SmrBG01648/SmrPL6 escaper females show egg-laying defects and have wing and leg abnormalities.

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

A SmrBG01648 background suppresses the rough eye phenotype related to fru isoform B, found upon expression of fruNP0021 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

The addition of SmrBG01648 to EcRB1-ΔC655.F645A.Scer\UAS, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF animals causes a dramatic decrease in the level of necrosis and scarring and some improvement of the morphology of the facets.

The lethality and the EcRB1-ΔC655.F645A.Scer\UAS, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF eye phenotype is partially suppressed by SmrBG01648.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The rough eye phenotype seen Hsap\ATX182.Scer\UAS, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF animals is enhanced by SmrBG01648, resulting in a glazed eye surface, severely disorganised ommatidia, and most prominently loss of bristles.
