When PhmScer\UAS.cTA is driven by Scer\GAL4tim.PE or Scer\GAL4dimm-929 in a wild-type background, no degradation of behavioural rhythmicity is seen.

Scer\GAL4tim.PE/PhmUAS.cTA fails to rescue Phmk07623/PhmP(29)
Phmk07623/PhmP(29) flies, rescued by PhmScer\UAS.cTA (driven by either Scer\GAL4CG11033-36Y or Scer\GAL4dimm-929) display two peaks of locomotor activity under cycling conditions. They have a normal peak time, locomotor levels accompanying these maxima are sustained, but do not anticipate the morning lights on transition. Phmk07623/PhmP(29) flies, rescued by PhmScer\UAS.cTA (driven by Scer\GAL4386Y) have wild-type locomotor activity under cycling conditions. Phmk07623/PhmP(29) flies, rescued by PhmScer\UAS.cTA (driven by Scer\GAL4CG11033-36Y) under constant conditions (DD) are very weakly rhythmic over days 1-2 and 3-9. 6% of these individuals are rhythmic. and they show a very low signal to noise ration (SNR) (about 0.3). PhmScer\UAS.cTA is driven by Scer\GAL4dimm-929 rescued flies are also poorly rhythmic during DD days 1-2. From days 3-9 these flies are only 3% rhythmic but have a SNR of about 0.8. When PhmScer\UAS.cTA is driven by Scer\GAL4386Y flies activity approaches that of wild-type. PhmP(29) flies, rescued by PhmScer\UAS.cTA (driven by Scer\GAL4dimm-929) display a low percentage rhythmic animals but display a moderately high SNR. Phmk07623 flies, rescued by PhmScer\UAS.cTA (driven by Scer\GAL4dimm-929) have a lower average SNR, but 77% are rhythmic. The addition of Scer\GAL4Appl.G1a or Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf to Scer\GAL4Appl.G1a flies that are rescued by Scer\GAL4dimm-929 driven by Scer\GAL4dimm-929 increases the percentage of rhythmic individuals but does not improve the SNR.
