Expression of rlUAS.cKa under the control of Scer\GAL4sd.PU leads to ectopic wing veins.

100% of flies expressing rlScer\UAS.cKa under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 have an ectopic wing vein phenotype.

Expression of rlScer\UAS.cKa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PB does not result in homeotic transformation of the eye to antenna.

Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096-mediated expression of both rlScer\UAS.cKa and PlzfScer\UAS.cMa generates significantly enhanced extra and ectopic veins as compared to expression of either transgene alone. This effect is more dramatic at 18[o]C than 25[o]C.

The Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, rlScer\UAS.cKa extra wing vein phenotype is completely suppressed in PlzfΔ145/+ or PlzfΔ11/+ heterozygotes.

corto07128b/+ enhances the ectopic wing vein phenotype induced by expression of rlUAS.cKa under the control of Scer\GAL4sd.PU.

Scer\GAL4elav-C155-driven expression of rlScer\UAS.cKa efficiently rescues the ectopic targetting of type III axons to the abdominal body-wall muscle 13 but fails to rescue the premature defasciculation of axons bundles at the boundary between muscles 13 and 12 in rl1 mutant third instar larvae. Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU-controlled expression significantly improves both of these innervation defects.
