Flies expressing ranG19V.Q69L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sev.EP.M show partial loss of photoreceptor cells (including loss of R7), resulting in a rough eye phenotype. Flies expressing ranG19V.Q69L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF show complete loss of photoreceptor, pigment and cone cells. The development of the interommatidial bristles appears unaffected.
