Expression of AxnA2.Scer\UAS with Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 results in wing notching and loss of posterior margin bristles.

The wings of AxnA2.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 flies are transformed to nota. The wings of AxnA2.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4ap-md544 flies are reduced to a tiny, blistered pouch.

Heterozygosity for hipk3 enhances the severity of wing-notching and loss of posterior margin bristles seen in animals overexpressing AxnA2.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1.

The transformation of wing to notum in AxnA2.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 flies is suppressed by nmoDB24/+, although the rescued wings are still small, misshapen and have only some longitudinal veins. The wing rescue is significantly better when nmoDB24/nmoDB24 is used. The severe blistering and size reduction seen in the wings of AxnA2.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4ap-md544 flies is partially rescued by nmoDB24/+. This rescue is significantly stronger when nmoDB24/nmoDB24 is used.

The naked cuticle phenotype caused by expression of armΔ.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified is partially suppressed by coexpression of AxnA2.Scer\UAS.

When expression is driven in the ovaries, the number of ectopic male-specific pigment cells induced by Wnt2Scer\UAS.cKa is reduced.
