When Wnt2Scer\UAS.cKa is driven by Scer\GAL4E132 severe direct flight muscle patterning defects are seen, including the absence of muscle 49. Additionally there are other misattachments of muscle such as confusion between the attachments of muscle 50 and 53.

When expression is driven in the ovaries, ectopic usually male-specific pigment cells develop.

Ectopic expression of Wnt2Scer\UAS.cKa in third instar female larvae using Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP results in the production of ectopic pigment cells (which are normally only produced in the male testis).
