Description

Construct: 11.5kb BglII-SalI genomic fragment extending from 1.3kb 5' to the r transcription start site to 1.9kb 3' to the r polyadenylation site. Introns 3 through 7 have been deleted by substituting a cDNA fragment for the r coding sequence spanning these introns.

Position of restriction fragment on reference sequence inferred by FlyBase curator based on author statement: The 11.5 kb insert consists of genomic DNA extending from a BglII site 1.3 kb 5′ to the r transcription start site, to a SalI site 1.9 kb 3′ to the r polyadenylation site. The r introns 3 through 7 were deleted by substituting a fragment of the cRu5 cDNA for the segment of r coding sequence spanning those introns.
