Expression of stumpsScer\UAS.cVa driven by Scer\GAL4how-24B significantly increases the number of boutons per muscle (synaptic overgrowth) at the neuromuscular junction of third instar larvae, compared to controls.
Co-expression of stumpsScer\UAS.cVa rescues the phenotype of reduced bouton number per muscle at the neuromuscular junction of Scer\GAL4how-24B>SmndsRNA.C.Scer\UAS.WIZ third instar larvae to control levels (and vice versa).
stumpsUAS.cVa/Scer\GAL4btl.PS partially rescues stumps09904b
stumpsUAS.cVa/Scer\GAL4btl.PS partially rescues stumps09904b
Scer\GAL4twi.PGa/stumpsUAS.cVa partially rescues stumps09904b
Expression of stumpsScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS in stumps09904b embryos rescues most aspects of tracheal patterning. The visceral branches are truncated (due to the malformation of the mesoderm in these embryos). The outline of the tracheal network in the rescue embryos is generally less well organised than in wild type and many branches do not follow their normal pathways. Expression of stumpsScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4twi.PG in stumps09904b embryos fully rescues mesoderm migration and pericardial cell development.
