100% of babok07737/Df(2R)Np3 or babok07737/Df(2R)Np3 animals exhibit head capsule defects.
Homozygous larvae show slowed development and enlarged anal pads. A significant fraction pupate and survive to pharate adults with normal thoracic cuticle and appendages but defective abdominal cuticle, suggestive of a histoblast disorder. Larvae do not leave food and do not evert their anterior spiracles. Homozygous clones of adult tissue (wing and leg) show no mutant phenotype.
Df(2R)Np3/babok07737 has adult head capsule phenotype, non-suppressible by smo1
babok07737, ptcH84, smo1 has adult head capsule phenotype
babok07737, ptcH84, smo1/smo[+] has adult head capsule phenotype
10% of ptcH84, smo1/+, babok07737 animals exhibit head capsule defects. 10% of ptcH84, smo1/+, babok07737 animals exhibit head capsule defects. The addition of smo1 to babok07737/Df(2R)Np3 animals has no effect on head capsule defects.
