Muscles 15,16 and 17 appear stuck together (they are not fused) when ConScer\UAS.cRa is expressed in embryos using Scer\GAL4how-24B. The gap between muscles 12 and 13 is abolished in embryos expressing ConScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B. The lateral transverse muscles appear normal in these embryos. Muscles 12 and 13 are either stuck together or more closely apposed than normal in larvae derived from embryos expressing ConScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B, however their locomotion appears normal. The segmental motor nerve branch b (SNb) is abnormal in embryos expressing ConScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B; the SNb enters the ventral muscle field at the normal location but in 22% of cases the SNb stops at the level of muscles 6 and 7, in 70% of cases it extends fairly normally over muscles 6 and 7 but fails to reach muscle 12 and in 8% of cases it reaches muscle 12 but does not innervate it. In those cases where the SNb progresses at least to the level of muscle 13, the RP3 neuron is either present but fails to reach its synaptic target site (75% of cases) or is absent (25% of cases). The segmental motor nerve branch d (SNd) fails to grow out in more than 80% of cases in embryos expressing ConScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B. Segmental motor nerve branches a and c (SNa and SNc) appear normal.
Scer\GAL4ap-md544/ConUAS.cRa is a non-suppressor of dorsal-ventral compartment boundary of the wing disc phenotype of apmd544/apUGO35
Expression of ConScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 does not restore a smooth boundary between the dorsal and ventral cells in apmd544/apUGO35 wing discs.
