The female progeny of U2af38ΔE18/+ females mated to SxlfP7B0/Y males are completely viable.

The female progeny of U2af38ΔE18/fl(2)d1 females mated to SxlfP7B0/Y males show only 25.8% viability.

The female progeny of U2af38ΔE18/fl(2)d2 females mated to SxlfP7B0/Y males show only 90.1% viability.

When mothers heterozygous for both snfJ210 and U2af38ΔE18 are crossed with SxlfP7B0 males, a significant reduction in viability is seen in SxlfP7B0/+ daughters.

U2af38ΔE18 U2af50XR15 double mutants can be rescued by a combination of U2af50+tS12 and U2af38+t10 but not by a combination of U2af50ΔRS and U2af38ΔRS. Lethal combination could both be rescued by an identical synthetic RS domain by a combination of U2af50RS.7 and U2af38ΔRS.

Homozygous lethality is rescued by U2af38+t10, but not by U2af38tRb, U2af38hs.PR or U2af38U2af50.PR. The lethality is partially rescued by U2af38tRb in combination with U2af38U2af50.PR.
