lzr1/lzgal4 transheterozygous and lzgal4 hemizygous third instar larvae present a significant increase in both the number and size of circulating crystal cells (identified as Lozenge-positive), as compared to lzgal4 heterozygous controls.

Eye phenotype is wild-type. Transheterozygotes with lzrfg exhibit severely roughened eyes and transheterozygotes with lz77a7 show less severe roughening of the posterior edge of the compound eye.
