Detailed Description

Reference

Germ-line clones of cnc05561 produce ovaries that have a mislocalised oocyte nucleus at stage 10. About 80% develop into embryos with a completely ventralised chorion, with some having a defective aeropyle as well. About 14% show weak or intermediate ventralisation with either a residual or single dorsal appendage.

Mutant embryos lack labral, hypopharyngeal and mandibular derivatives. The larvae head skeletons are missing the labrum, dorsal pouch, transverse ribs, ventral arms, lateralgrate and most of the posterior pharyngeal wall. Also duplicate terminally located bilateral maxillary structures, secondary mouthhook and an extra cirri row.
