Description

Contrary to that reported in FBrf0074834, P{PZ} is inserted between base pairs 202 and 203 of the published sequence (FBrf0074834), in the 5' UTR, in opposite orientation to the repo transcript.

P-element insertion, in the opposite direction to repo transcription, within an intron.

Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Late stage 14 embryos show disruptions in the axon scaffold. The projections of the VUM neurons are particularly affected. PNS phenotype is much weaker. AT later stages fibers are partially defasciculated. In mutant embryos of stage 17 the VNC remains extended to various degrees. The surface of the VNC in all mutant embryos has a very rough and loosely packed appearance. At the end of stage 12, the MM-CBG prematurely stop migrating. At this stage the number of glia in the VNC is wild type, but by stage 16 the total number of glial cells in the CNS is reduced.

Heterozygotes with repo1 are lethal. Df(3R)P14 heterozygous embryos at stage 15 have thin longitudinal tracts in some segments due to poor condensation (may be due to another gene within Df(3R)P14).
