Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

The frequency of heterochromatization of regions subject to PEV in the T(1;2)dorvar7 rearrangement is not affected by expression of Su(var)205hs.PE under the control of heat shock.

Heat shock strongly enhances transinactivation of bw caused by Tp(2;2)bw-DX7.

Variegation of the w gene in the rearrangement In(1)wm4h is enhanced by expression of the heat shock activated Su(var)205 construct.

Comments

The abnormal metaphase configurations seen in the brains of Su(var)2054/Su(var)2055 larvae are partly rescued by expression of Su(var)205hs.PE, although a high frequency of chromosome aberrations are seen.
