Expression of CycBhs.PK does not induce S phase. S phase is not induced in embryos when cdc2AF.hs is co-expressed with CycBhs.PK using heat shock.

Coexpression of cdc2AF.hs, CycBhs.PK and CycB3hs.PS does not suppress this phenotype in CycAC8LR1 mutant embryos fails to restore mitosis 16 in the epidermis.

Many cells of heatshocked embryos carrying cdc2AF.hs and CycBhs.PK fail to delay mitosis after irradiation.

Neuroblasts in trolsd larval brains show a proliferation defect. Expression of CycBhs.PK in trolsd larvae using heat shock is unable to rescue this defect; there is no change in the number of S phase neuroblasts in the brain.

Heat induced coexpression of CycBhs.PK and Cdk1AF.hs induces proliferation in quiescent pole cells. Ectopic mitoses are followed by cell division in pole cells.

Rescues mutant phenotype of embryos double mutant for CycA3.
