Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

"v" class allele.

Transheterozygotes with dpD have thorax effects.

Thoracic vortex phenotype (v). Thorax shows two vortices in dorsocentral region, frequently pitted with brown pigment. Whorls of hairs and medially displaced dorsocentral bristles in almost all flies at 26oC. Females more extreme than males. No wing effect, no body or leg reduction in any compound. Commas absent in dpv2/dpv2 and dpv2/dpov1 but are present in dpv2/dplv1 and dpv2/dpolv. RK2.

Comments

Since both dpv and dpv2 contain a roo element at the same location in the dp locus, they may represent different isolates of the same mutant.
