Genetic Interactions
Statement

Expression of αTub85EβTub85D.PH partially rescues the defective αTub84B function in spermatogenesis: most spermatids have complete axonemes.

αTub84B7/βTub85Dn : male heterozygotes are sterile, even in the presence of a wild type copy of αTub84B; this interaction requires the presence of a defective protein as males heterozygous for a deletion of αTub84B7 and βTub85Dn are fertile.

Fails to complement class I alleles at the βTub85D locus.

K.J. Kemphues.

Selected as: a mutation that fails to complement class I alleles at the βTub85D locus (either βTub85D3 or βTub85DDrv1) but does not map to the βTub85D locus.

Comments
Comments

Identification: Second site non-complementation with an allele of βTub85D. Same second site non-complementation results are seen when a cloned copy of αTub84B7 is inserted in a P element into different places than its usual genomic location.
