Df(3R)ChaM5/In(3R)fru heterozygotes exhibit a muscle of Lawrence defect. In Df(3R)ChaM5/Df(3R)P14 heterozygotes muscle of Lawrence-position fibres have fewer nuclei than medial fibres.
