Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In this case, the "Export to Hitlist" button at left will also be disabled.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations

Position effect variegation (PEV) at the B locus caused by Dp(1;Y)BarSCV is dominantly enhanced by Dp(2;2)Mdh, and suppressed by Df(2R)en-A or Df(2R)en-SFX31.

NOT in combination with other aberrations

Show variegation for B. With a normal X, the eye phenotype is B+, with XY, it is BS and with C(1;YL)4 or XYS, it is intermediate B. The enhancers of variegation, Df(2R)M41A1 and E(var)7, shift the phenotype of Dp(1;Y)BarSCV flies toward normal (BSVY), whereas deficiencies that wholly or partially remove Histone genes (Df(2L)TW65, Df(2L)TW84, and Df(2L)TW161) shift the phenotype toward BS (FBrf0033732).
