2503bp of genomic DNA capturing the Or85a promoter is fused upstream of the Drosophila synthetic core promoter (DSCP) followed by GAL80 that has been optimised for Drosophila codon usage. The woodchuck hepatitis virus post-transcriptional regulatory element (WPRE) and an SV40 transcriptional terminator are also present.
