construct_comment: Although in opposite orientation relative to white than that in wild-type heat shock genes, the 290-bp Hsp70 segment (-225 to +65) in this construct allows heat-inducible expression of white. Observed also for derivatives of pP{HSBJCaSpeR}.Evidence for heat-inducible expression of white : RNA blots; inducible male homosexual courtship behavior.
