construct_comment: Modification of P{wA}, with a deletion of 3 to 4 kb spanning the right end of the w+ segment into the left end of the ry+ segment; apparently occurred during propagation of the pP{wA} plasmid. Sequences deleted in the white region are 3\' of the transcript; at least 0.8kb beyond the 3\' end of the transcript are intact.
