Pink-Flamindo is a genetically encoded fluorescent cAMP sensor. It consists of the mApple fluorescent protein, into which the cAMP-binding domain from the Mus musculus Rapgef3 gene (MGI:MGI:2441741), flanked on each side by linker sequence, has been inserted (between residues 150 and 151). A number of mutations have also been introduced into the coding sequence. The fluorescence intensity of Pink-Flamindo increases approximately 4.2-fold in the presence of a saturating dose of cAMP, with an excitation peak of 567nm and an emission peak of 590nm (adapted from PMID:28779099).
