Insertion lines from this collection were assessed for inclusion in the Gene Disruption Project collection.
A set of mutant stocks derived by insertional mutagenesis using the P-element construct P{lacW}; most lines have a lethal or sterile phenotype. The P{lacW} construct carries a w+mC mini-white visible marker, Ecol\lacZ enhancer trap sequences, and bacterial sequences that allow plasmid rescue (FBrf0049800).
Genomic location previously reported as 3R:12891446..12891454 .
The Dad reporter is expressed in ~43% of pMad-positive nuclei in the ventral nerve cord.
EcollacZDad-j1E4 expression is observed in the anterior and posterior adult midgut, and is expressed at high levels in and adjacent to the copper cell region (CCR, adult midgut anterior regions R3a and R3b). EcollacZDad-j1E4 is a marker for BMP signalling.
EcollacZDad-j1E4 expression is absent from the LNd neurons, clearly present in the small and large s-LNv neurons , and is also present in a few DN1 neurons.
Expression pattern of this reporter construct during embryonic and imaginal development resembles that of dpp.
