Does not show significant repression of P-induced dysgenic sterility when P{lArB}A171.1F1 females are crossed to P males.The telomeric P{lArB}A171.1F1 insertion can repress the germline expression of another P{lacZ} insertion. Repression is detected only when the P{lArB}A171.1F1 insertion is maternally inherited.
