PBac{5HPw+} is a 5' half P-element construct marked with the w+mC mini-white marker nested within a Tni\piggyBac-based construct; mobilization requires a source of Tni\piggyBac transposase.
A set of transgenic insertion stocks derived by TE mobilization using the Tni\piggyBac-based construct PBac{5HPw+}.
Genetic screens allowing selection of new autosomal insertions were carried out. Two different homozygous viable and fertile X chromosome insertions were used as the source of the PBac{5HPw+} construct to be mobilized.
Flanking genomic sequences were obtained by sequencing of inverse PCR products, and were mapped by alignment to the genomic sequence. 342 lines from the combined PA and PC collections were selected for inclusion in the BDGP Gene Disruption Project 2004 collection.
