AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Comment: maternally deposited
Maternally deposited mrn transcripts are observed in early embryos. In later embryos, expression is highest in proliferating cells of the nervous system, Malpighian tubules and midgut. During larval stages, mrn transcripts are observed in restricted regions of the imaginal discs and are especially high in the wing pouch region of the wing disc and in the morphogenetic furrow in the eye disc.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
polyclonal
Recessive larval lethal. Individuals heterozygous for certain combinations of alleles reach late third instar but do not pupate; they have small discs and small brains. The original allele nc16, is associated with a dominant enhancer of the βTub85Dn -tubulin mutation, suggesting a role for the gene in microtubule function. The dominant enhancer and the lethal mutation associated with nc16 were not separated in 82 recombinants between Ly and th. None of the other alleles are dominant enhancers of βTub85Dn (Robertson and Fuller, unpublished).
