AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Comment: reference states 0-24 hr AEL
I-2 transcripts are present throughout development. Expression is weak but uniform in early embryos, and also weak and uniform in larval brains and imaginal discs. In testes, expression is detected in primary spermatocytes and is degraded shortly after meiosis.
I-2 transcript is detected in all stages of development. Expression is higher in 0-4 hr embryos than in other developmental stages.
I-2 protein is observed in embryos and female ovaries and whole adults on western blots. It is observed in both somatic and germline cells in ovaries with the highest levels in the cytoplasm of nurse cells. In later stages it appears to be transferred from the nurse cells to the oocyte.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Identification: in a yeast two-hybrid screen for proteins that interact with flw.
