Description
Description
Mitochondrial complex II/Succinate Dehydrogenase is a heterotetrameric protein complex anchored to the inner mitochondrial membrane via two integral membrane subunits. It functions both in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle and the electron transport chain (ETC) by catalysing the oxidation of succinate to fumarate and then, via electron transfer, reducing ubiquinone to ubiquinol.
