Description
Description
Syntrophins are a family of cytoplasmic membrane-associated adaptor proteins characterized by a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain interrupted by a PDZ domain, followed by a second PH domain and a C-terminal syntrophin-unique domain. Syntrophins are subunits of the dystrophin glycoprotein complex, interacting with the dystrophin-related proteins and acting as an adaptor to recruit and assemble signalling components. (Adapted from PMID:23263165 and FBrf0129834).
