      Kdm21 homozygotes and Kdm21/Kdm22 transheterozygotes are fully viable and fertile, and do not have any developmental defects. Both homozygotes and heterozygotes have circadian rhythm defects, as adults are less frequently rhythmic and show significantly shorter periods under constant darkness and present a blunted morning anticipatory behavior peak under 12h:12h light/dark cycles, as compared to controls.
