    Expression of HERC2G17171 under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PU (together with tub-Gal80[ts] to limit the time of expression to adulthood) results in a loss of dopaminergic neurons from the PPM1/2 cluster in the adult brain.

    Flies expressing DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU and kept at 18[o]C do not display any overt wing phenotype but show notching of the wing margin upon co-expression of HERC2G17171.

    The ectopic wing margin bristle phenotype characteristic for adult flies expressing SerScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU is not significantly modified by co-expression of HERC2G17171.

    The vein thickening and ectopic veins phenotype characteristic for N55e11 mutant adults is not modified by expression of HERC2G17171 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU in the mutant background.

    The wing notching phenotype characteristic for adults expressing neurΔRING.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU is exacerbated by co-expression of HERC2G17171.

    The total area of adult wings in flies co-expressing neurScer\UAS.cUa and HERC2G17171 under the control Scer\GAL4dpp.PU is significantly reduced compared to controls (as is the area where the Scer\GAL4dpp.PU driver is expressed). No such size decrease is apparent when neurScer\UAS.cUa is expressed alone.
