Expression of Sox21aScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Su(H).GBE induces enterocyte differentiation, as shown by cells becoming polyploid.

Somatic clones that include intestinal stem cells expressing Sox21aScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified grow normally in size and produce both polyploid enterocytes and enteroendocrine cells.
