Activation of the B[[AG]] neurons using the combination of the Hsim\VP16N9A88A and Scer\GAL4DBD.Burs.T:Zzzz\Zip- split-gal4 hemidrivers does not result in the rapid induction of abdominal flexion behaviours characteristic of wing expansion in newly emerged flies placed in a confined environment. The wings become malleable and partially unfolded in response to occasional grooming by the hindlegs. The flies also show normal tanning.
Inhibition of the B[[AG]] neurons using the combination of the Hsim\VP16N9A88A and Scer\GAL4DBD.Burs.T:Zzzz\Zip- split-gal4 hemidrivers does not prevent newly emerged flies placed in a confined environment showing the abdominal flexion behaviours characteristic of wing expansion.
