ScerGAL4Burs.PL drives expression in a subset peptidergic neurons in the larval ventral nerve cord. Directly after eclosion expression is detected in around 14 neurons in the posterior part of the thoracico-abdominal ganglion. This number decreases to zero over the first day after eclosion.
One copy of Scer\GAL4Burs.PL has no effect on the normal bursCCAP neuron apoptosis seen in wild type flies.
