In distal tip/mid-air sac primordium clones expressing ctUAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.B123, the mutant cells produce significantly fewer long and oriented cytonemes compared to the control clones at an equivalent position; however, the orientation and number of cytonemes from the ASP stalk cells, remained unaffected compared to control clones.

Expressing ctUAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4221 results in a significantly increased number of branch points in the dendrites of class I dendritic arborizing neurons in third instar larvae compared to wild-type controls.

Overexpression of ctScer\UAS.cUa driven by Scer\GAL4109(2)80 or Scer\GAL42-21 leads to a significant increase in dendrite branch points and length in class I da sensory neurons compared to wild type, along with formation of dendritic spike morphology.

Low-level ectopic expression of ctUAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to generate different levels of expression at different temperatures) inhibits tracheal differentiation and stimulates proliferation in cells located at spiracular branch (SB) growth zone 1 at 25[o]C.

High-level ectopic expression of ctUAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to generate different levels of expression at different temperatures) leads to an almost complete elimination of cells in SB growth zones 1 and 2, an impaired growth of SB and a reduction in the number of pH3+ cells in SB growth zone 2 at 29[o]C.

Expression of ctScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PU converts the eye into a duplicate antenna.

Expression of ctScer\UAS.cUa driven by Scer\GAL4109(2)80 does not suppress the reduction of dendritic spikes in class III da sensory neuron fs(1)h1112/fs(1)h1112 larval clones.

Loss of fs(1)h1112/fs(1)h1112 in class I da neuron clones suppresses the increase in dendrite branch points and length and formation of dendritic spike morphology seen in larvae with ctScer\UAS.cUa overexpression driven by Scer\GAL4109(2)80.

Co-expression of fs(1)hScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP partially suppresses the increase in dendrite branch points and length in class I da neurons seen in larvae with ctScer\UAS.cUa overexpression driven by Scer\GAL42-21.

In spiracular branch (SB) growth zones 2 and 4, expression of ctUAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ct-PG142 partially suppresses the decreased number of SB cell phenotype caused by expression of panΔN.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ct-PG142 (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to overexpress ctUAS.cUa and panΔN.UAS in the SB temporally).
