      Mutants show loss of ventral denticles and all remaining denticles point posteriorly.

      Homozygous clones result in outgrowths in the wing.

      The operculum is enlarged, the dorsal appendages are lost and the micropyle is reduced in eggs laid by females carrying homozygous follicle cell clones.
