Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Adults expressing mstScer\UAS.ORF under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU exhibit a significant increase in gut contractions, an increased movement of food through the intestinal tract (and a significant increase in fecal deposition) a small but significant decrease in intestine diameter, and potentiated intestinal muscle fiber associated with thicker actin filaments, as compared to controls.

Comments

The co-expression of mstScer\UAS.ORF rescues the decreased lifespan, the decreased food intake, the decreased gut contractions, the dilated intestine, and the visceral muscle structure defects observed in adults expressing mstJF03280 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU.
