Expression of bocksHMS01817 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PS leads to increased apoptosis (Caspase 3 staining) in the larval eye imaginal discs and a rough adult eye phenotype when compared to controls.

Muscles expressing bocksHMS01817 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU, Scer\GAL4twi.PU or Scer\GAL4Mhc.PU exhibit nuclear positioning defects. Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU-driven expression in larval VL3 muscles induces significantly shorter internuclear distances and longer nucleus-muscle edge distance, but no changes in distance between nuclear lines, as compared to controls; embryonic LT muscles show increased distance between the dorsal end of the muscle (but not the ventral end) and the nearest nucleus, as well as nuclear clustering near the ventral end of the muscle. Scer\GAL4twi.PU-driven expression in larval VL3 muscles induces shorter internuclear distances, but no changes in nucleus-muscle edge distance or distance between nuclear lines, as compared to controls; embryonic LT muscles show no changes in distance between dorsal or ventral end of the muscle and the nearest nucleus. Scer\GAL4Mhc.PU-driven expression in larval VL3 muscles induces significantly shorter internuclear distances and longer distance between nuclear lines, but no changes in nucleus-muscle edge distance, as compared to controls.
