Animals expressing Lamp1HMS01802 under the control of Scer\GAL4grh.D4 are viable, no obvious defects in larval dorsal trunk elongation and airway morphology are observed and the larvae are of comparable size to age-matched controls.
Expression of Lamp1HMS01802 in posterior epidermal cells under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E prevents phagocytic clearance of ddaC neuron dendrite debris following pupal stage dendritic pruning. Similarly, when larval dendrites are injured (severed with an infrared laser) expression of Lamp1HMS01802 blocks dendritic debris clearance.
