      The expression of chicNIG.9553R under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU does not lead to obvious eye defects in 5 days old adults, as compared to controls.

      Expression of chicNIG.9553R under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c results in a failure of wound closure, with open wounds being present in larvae 24 hours after wounding. Actin does not accumulate at the edge of the wound by 4 hours after wounding, in contrast to wild type. Leading edge cells lack the prominent extensions into the wound debris field that are seen in wild type.
