UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a 500bp inverted repeat.
Expression of me31BNIG.4916R (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.PE results in poor rhythmicity of adult circadian locomotor activity under free-running (~constant darkness, DD) conditions and while the daily oscillation of per and tim proteins (under standard light-dark conditions) are not perturbed, the oscillation of the Pdf protein in the axons of s-LNv neurons is abolished.
Poor locomotor behavior rhythmicity in DD conditions is also observed when the me31BNIG.4916R is driven by either Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf or Scer\GAL4cry.PE.
Expression of me31BNIG.4916R under the control of Scer\GAL4GH146 completely blocks the long-term habituation (LTH) seen when flies are exposed to ethyl butyrate (EB) for 4 days.
Scer\GAL4cry.PE, me31BNIG.4916R has abnormal locomotor rhythm | adult stage phenotype, enhanceable by Atx2KK100423, Scer\GAL4cry.PE
me31BNIG.4916R/Scer\GAL4Mz520 is a non-enhancer of abnormal locomotor rhythm | adult stage phenotype of Scer\GAL4Mz520, tyfΔC5.UAS.Tag:V5
The poor rhythmicity of adult circadian locomotor activity under free-running (~constant darkness) conditions observed in flies expressing me31BNIG.4916R under the control of Scer\GAL4cry.PE is further worsened by co-expression of Atx2KK100423.
The aberrant long-period circadian locomotor rhythm under free-running constant dark conditions characteristic for adult flies expressing tyfΔC5.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mz520 is not enhanced by co-expression of me31BNIG.4916R.
