Adulthood-only expression of EgfrUAS.cUa under the combined control of Scer\GAL4esg.PU and Gal80[ts], induced by temperature shift to 29[o]C for 1-6 days during adulthood, leads to a mild increase in the number of mitotic cells (phospho-H3 staining) per adult midgut, as compared to controls.

Overexpression of the wild-type EgfrScer\UAS.cUa construct in the posterior wing compartment, under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in excess wing vein tissue is formed between L4 and L5.

Overexpression of EgfrScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4Ser.PGF results in extra wing veins around the dorso-ventral boundary.

Overexpression of EgfrScer\UAS.cUa via Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in extra bristles on the notum

Co-overexpression of pumScer\UAS.cKa with EgfrScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4Ser.PGF suppressed the development of ectopic wing veins resulting from the overexpression of EgfrScer\UAS.cUa alone generating wings that are indistinguishable from those overexpressing pumScer\UAS.cKa alone.

Heterozygous pum01688 greatly enhances the ectopic macrochaeta phenotype induced by EgfrScer\UAS.cUa overexpression in the notum under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4.

Heterozygous pumMsc greatly enhances the ectopic macrochaeta phenotype induced by EgfrScer\UAS.cUa overexpression in the notum under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4.

Co-overexpression of pumScer\UAS.cKa and EgfrScer\UAS.cUa in the notum under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 suppresses the EgfrScer\UAS.cUa-induced ectopic macrochaeta phenotype.

Concomitant expression of pumHD.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 with EgfrScer\UAS.cUa is able to suppress the EgfrScer\UAS.cUa-induced ectopic bristle formation in the notum.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The age-progressive memory induced by expression of Hsap\APPAβ1-42.Scer\UAS.cIa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU is enhanced by co-expression of EgfrScer\UAS.cUa : the memory defect are detectable even in young 5-day-old flies that perform normally in the aversive olfactory memory assay when expressing Hsap\APPAβ1-42.Scer\UAS.cIa alone.
