      Flies expressing MTF-1Δ580-791.tub have a reduced eclosion rate compared to wild type and have severely malformed, crumpled wings.

      The median lifespan of flies expressing MTF-1Δ580-791.tub is reduced to a median of 10 days (compared to a median lifespan of 49 days for wild-type controls).

      The wing defects seen in flies expressing MTF-1Δ580-791.tub are ameliorated by Ctr1Bunspecified/+ and almost completely suppressed by Ctr1Bunspecified/Ctr1Bunspecified. The shortened lifespan caused by MTF-1Δ580-791.tub is not suppressed by Ctr1Bunspecified/Ctr1Bunspecified.

      The wing defects seen in flies expressing MTF-1Δ580-791.tub are enhanced by the "qMtn" mutant combination (MtnAΔATG MtnBΔATG MtnCΔATG MtnDOreR) and the mutant flies show a very low eclosion rate.
